Bologna Defender Impresses Despite Defeat
Calafiori played his first domestic league match for his new club, Bologna, on 9 October 2022.
Bologna suffered a 1-0 defeat to Lugano in the away game at the Cornaredo Stadium. Riccardo Calafiori, who joined Bologna from Roma in the summer, made his domestic league debut for the club.
Calafiori, a 20-year-old left-back, played the full 90 minutes and impressed with his performance. He was solid defensively and also contributed to Bologna's attacking play.
Despite the defeat, it was a promising debut for Calafiori, who will be hoping to help Bologna improve their fortunes in the coming weeks.
